In the years following the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb and its many treasures, Egyptology was a popular theme in the arts. Designer Harald Nielsen's art deco collection was inspired by the pyramids but the geometric pattern is subtle enough that it never overwhelms the classic functional overall shape of the pieces.
