Designer Peter Maxwell created Made Solid's original hand-shaped tray for a Los Angeles-area Japanese restaurant, where it was used to deliver the bill in attention-getting style. Like its predecessor, this small-sized version is shallow yet functional, crafted using the basic properties of vegetable-tanned leather: it's cut and shaped while wet, then dried to harden the form. Perfect for collecting keys, change, receipts, paper clips or other small essentials—and exhibiting Made Solid's signature elegant simplicity—the tray will acquire a rich character and patina over time.
