True to the post-war optimism of the 1951 Festival of Britain, this decade saw much bolder floral, with many designs like this one featuring typically English flowers such as blue harebells, daffodils and snowdrops. Festival is decorated with these fine sprays on a pale blue background, including a single flower inside the teacup, all framed by rich 9 carat gold trim edging. 100 Years of Royal Albert Teas has used pattern reference 1326 using the blue of the flowers as the background colour.
